「DISAVOWED是一支來自荷蘭的Brutal Death樂隊。這張"Perceptive Deception"與同樣來自荷蘭的PYAEMIA的"Cerebral Cereal"一樣，是2001年兩張出類拔萃的殘忍死亡佳作。具體說到音樂，一定要提提Jon的鼓，blastbeat軍鼓與雙踩完全炸成了一條直線，在保持超高速的同時，兇狠、有力且顆粒感十足。與PYAEMIA不同的是：在DISAVOWED的這張作品中，中、慢速小節被較少的使用，一邊倒的高速小節令人亢奮不已。吉它演奏中的快速riff給人很突出的印象，雖然與PYAEMIA相比，DISAVOWED的吉它似乎變化稍少，但速度則更勝一籌。重型而兇狠的SUFFOCATION式的riff；陰鬱、惡毒的MORBID ANGEL式的riff都給人留下了很深的印象。樂隊主唱為典型的失真效果強烈的guttural唱腔，聲音與INTERNAL SUFFERING在"Chaotic Matrix"中的表現非常類似。本人對此類guttural唱腔不是太喜歡，一是感覺缺乏變化；二是覺得作得比較「假」，使用效果器的痕跡太重，與PYAEMIA那種真嗓guttural唱腔相比，缺乏些有血有肉的靈氣。不過無論如何，DISAVOWED的這張"Perceptive Deception"是一張非常出色的，經典的Brutal Death力作。」
